Google Hangout & E-Discussion: Freedom of Movement and Women’s Economic Empowerment

The latest edition of the World Bank Group’s <a href="http://www.wikigender.org/wiki/women-business-and-the-law/">Women, Business and the Law report</a> finds that various countries legally treat women and men differently, often hindering women’s economic empowerment by placing limits on women’s ability to move freely.

Empower Women & the World Bank Group are co-organising a Google Hangout on the topic on 2 February 2016 from 9.30 am to 11 a.m. EST.

Following the Google hangout, an online e-discussion on “Freedom of Movement and Women’s Economic Empowerment” will be hosted on <a href="http://www.empowerwomen.org/">EmpowerWomen.org</a> from 2 to 15 February 2016, and will serve as a space for the public to continue and broaden the conversation started on the hangout and address any follow-up questions.
