Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WiTEC)
<h2 id="w_witec"><b>WiTEC</b></h2>
WiTEC is an european association for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (known as SET). It was formed as a network in 1988. There passed more than ten years of networking and project activities related to women and SET. Then, it established itself as a non-profit european association (May 2001).

<b>WiTEC</b> has the following purposes:
<ul>
<li>To increase the number of women and girls of studies related to SET subjects and to help them progress.</li>
<li>To improve women’s technical and entrepreneurial skills helped by training initiatives and projects.</li>
<li>To create networking opportunities for women in in science, engineering and technology.</li>
<li>To promote and support research into areas relating to women in SET.</li>
<li>To lead the Gender Mainstreaming Policy to promote.</li>
<li>To initiate regional, national and international awareness and interest in this field.</li>
</ul>
