<p>Subversion/Subversión is a transnational feminist art magazine. Launched in <a href="https://education.microsoft.com/Story/Lesson?token=W0Yrx">2013</a>, the magazine promotes international feminist exchange. It is a collective publication, with all sources in both English and Spanish - as many current feminist magazines/resources on the internet remain anglophone. Additionally, although the English/Spanish bilingual criteria is mandatory for all articles published on the site, many contributions have been written in/translated into a number of other languages.http://subversionsubversion.com/submitcontribuye/</p>

<p>[File file=Cropped-Untitled-1.jpg|thumb|right] The magazine sets out to apply transnational feminist theory outside the purely academic realm and into everyday life - making the <a href="https://education.microsoft.com/Story/Lesson?token=IJ0QG">accomplishments</a> and understanding gained through feminist studies accessible to a global audience.</p>

For the creators of Subversion/Subversión, discussion and exchange are essential to this transformation, and the medium of this conversation is art. By both creating expressions of ourselves and our realities, and by viewing the art created in the world through a transnational feminist lens, the magazine promotes this necessary global feminist dialogue and critique.</p>

Other members include Andrea Rodas - from [Pagelink infos="Gender Equality in Guatemala"], the site's translator -, Zully Morales - from Guatemala, director of Social Media and Graphics -, Jurek González - from Guatemala, Webmaster -, Juli Estrada and Kndela RG - from [Pagelink infos="Gender Equality in Venezuela"] and [Pagelink infos="Gender Equality in Colombia"] respectively, both Senior Contributors - and Nick Jonges, Lisa Leysen and Agueda Zarate - from the [Pagelink infos="Gender Equality in the Netherlands"] and the [Pagelink infos="United States of America"] respectively, all three Contributors. <p>"There are so many wonderful people doing wonderful things, as well as wonderful people doing not so wonderful things that could use some decent critiquing. So we’re looking for both contributions in the way of art in the widest sense of the word, and contributions in the way of writing about other people’s art." The magazine promotes exchange and dialogue through art, and discussion of art. Articles are continuously updated, but as of now, some recent topics include the Venezuelan guerilla artist <a href="http://subversionsubversion.com/2013/05/argelia-bravo-y-el-comando-maria-monitos-arte-subversivo-argelia-bravo-and-the-mary-ponytail-commando-subversive-art/">Argelia Bravo</a> and American conceptual and performance artist <a href="http://subversionsubversion.com/2013/04/patricia-ann-alvarado-public-and-private-explorations-on-womens-identity/">Patricia Ann Alvarado</a>, installments of a feminist web comic <a href="http://subversionsubversion.com/2013/05/575/">Spiderweb // Telaraña</a>, the recent film/documentary of the current situation in Greece, <a href="http://subversionsubversion.com/2013/04/into-the-fire-en-el-fuego/">"Into the Fire"</a>, and a collection of drawings and paintings by artist Zully Morales entitled <a href="http://subversionsubversion.com/2013/04/no-more-frustration-no-mas-frustracion/">“No more frustration” // “No mas frustración”</a></p>
