SisterLove, Inc., is a reproductive justice organization for women, with a focus on [Pagelink infos="HIV/AIDS|HIV/AIDS/AIDS"]. Based in Atlanta ([Pagelink infos="United States of America"]), the organisation was founded in 1989. <h2 id="w_mission">Mission</h2> SisterLove is on a mission to eradicate the adverse impact of [Pagelink infos="HIV/AIDS"]/AIDS and other reproductive health challenges upon women and their families through education, prevention, support and human rights advocacy in the United States and around the world. <h2 id="w_programmes">Programmes</h2> <ul> <li>Healthy Love Program: Participants learn the basics of HIV/AIDS prevention and transmission, safer sex practices, reproductive health and human sexuality while affirming their right to take control of their sexual lives and sexual health.</li> <li>SisterLove's HIV/AIDS Prevention Project is a multi-dimensional community education campaign focused on providing community outreach and education for African American women in the metropolitan area. The campaign includes life-altering workshops on HIV/AIDS transmission and prevention, HIV testing and counseling, a media campaign and targeted outreach to those most at risk. The primary goal of the Project is to increase women's awareness and provide them the information, skills, and resources needed to assess their personal risk and examine beliefs and behaviors that place them at greater risk for contracting HIV.</li> <li>Community PROMISE: The program focuses on providing HIV/AIDS prevention education for women attending historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in Atlanta. Community PROMISE enables communities of college-age women to identify issues and risk factors that impact their risk for contractng HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. SisterLove works collaboratively with empowered young women to document their stories and learn how they have made powerful and positive choices that enhance their lives.</li> <li>SisterLove collaborated with established South African AIDS service organizations, to provide training, technical assistance and resource development to HIV+ women and those working to combat the effects of HIV/AIDS in South Africa.</li> <li>The Odyssey Project is a collaboration that uses women's human rights as a framework to educate, train and mobilize women for greater women's rights awareness and activism.
