The UNICEF report aims to address the challenges faced by the World's 1.2 billion of adolescents (18% of the world's population), and to determine tools for them to make the most of their lives, issues partly addressed by the [Pagelink infos="Millennium Development Goals"]. Most of the present adolescent community were born after major initiatives such as the Convention of the Rights of the Child and the [Pagelink infos="Millennium Development Goals"] were implemented, yet they still face the same issues as their elders, indicating that the promises of different initiatives have failed to be delivered.
