<p>Isha L’Isha, established in 1983, is the oldest grassroots feminist organization in [Pagelink infos="Gender Equality in Israel|Gender Equality in Israel"] and one of the leading voices of women’s rights in the country. Isha L’Isha is based in Haifa and works primarily in the northern part of Israel. <br /> </p> <div id="toc"><h2>Table of Contents</h2> <ul> <li class="toclevel-1"><a href="#w_mission"><span class="tocnumber">1</span> <span class="toctext">Mission</span></a></li> <li class="toclevel-1"><a href="#w_vision"><span class="tocnumber">2</span> <span class="toctext">Vision</span></a></li> <li class="toclevel-1"><a href="#w_activities"><span class="tocnumber">3</span> <span class="toctext">Activities</span></a></li> <li class="toclevel-1"><a href="#w_references"><span class="tocnumber">4</span> <span class="toctext">References</span></a></li> <li class="toclevel-1"><a href="#w_see-also"><span class="tocnumber">5</span> <span class="toctext">See Also</span></a></li> </ul> </div><h2 id="w_mission">Mission</h2> <p>Their mission is to advance the status of all women in Israel by: </p> <ul><li>Empowering them and encouraging them to become leaders in their communities; </li><li>Advocating for full civil rights and equal opportunities for women; </li><li>Opposing all forms of violence against women; </li><li>Developing and encouraging new projects to address women's needs; and </li><li>Promoting collaboration between women’s organisations. </li></ul> <h2 id="w_vision">Vision</h2> <p>Their vision is a society where all women—regardless of religion, ethnicity or cultural background—enjoy equal rights in all fields, including economic, social, and political; a society without gender-based violence; a society in which women's voices are heard, and in which women have full and equal access to all resources.<br /> </p> <h2 id="w_activities">Activities</h2> <ul><li><b>Fighting Against Trafficking</b>: They work closely with Israeli government officials, police, officials in the ministries of Interior, Justice and Welfare, to educate about trafficking, advocate for better legislation that will protect the rights of victims and increase prosecution of traffickers, and to advocate for improved enforcement of existing laws. </li><li><b>Women & Medical Technologies</b>: The overall aim of this project is opening up public discourse and involvement on issues related to health, particularly on the interrelations between reproductive rights and technological developments and their social and economic implications on society in general and on women in particular. </li><li><b>Women, Peace 7 Security</b> </li><li><b>Women’s Historical Collection & Research Center</b>: Isha L’Isha houses a feminist library and archive that serves the whole community.
