<h2 id="w_aims-and-purpose">Aims and purpose</h2>
<p>The CTI brings together women theologians of the various Christian traditions who have gained a post-graduate degree in a theological discipline, and teachers in theological faculties, in the theological schools of seminaries, in the religious congregations and in higher institutes of religious studies.
With an ecumenical perspective, it puts to use and promotes gender studies in the fields of theology, scripture, patristics and history. It seeks to make women theologians more prominent in the Italian ecclesiastical and cultural landscape. It encourages and supports women who want to dedicate themselves to the study, research and teaching of theology.
