Activities

Children and Education

AWARD believes that poverty can be eradicated with education:

  • We are providing free education to street children, working children and orphans
  • Forming Mother Committees of the child labour
  • Forming children clubs
  • Educating and Enabling poor children in distress(child labour, street and destitute children)
  • Providing educational support/Scholar ships to HIV/AIDS orphan children
  • 6 Non-formal education centres for child labour, street children & children of prostitutes. (120 children in our education centre.) We joined 24 Handicapped children in Government schools. We rejoined 213 dropout children (Child labours, Domestic workers-girls) in Government schools.
  • Giving education support to disabled children.(physically, mentally & Hearing impaired Children)
  • Rehabilitation of street children

Women

  • Women’s empowerment (Income generation training & Life skill training programmes)
  • Tailoring and embroidery skill training for prostitute women Formed 82 Self help women Groups (saving & thrift),We want to provide micro finance through Funders.
  • Psychological & Health care support for pregnant women.
  • Women support centre for guidance & suggestions.
  • Study classes for 10th, 11th, 12 th classes girls in the evening at office.
  • Yoga and karate class for young girls to keep their mental relief by this they will have courage/brave to walk freely. Adult Education to women

Health

  • Education, medical & physiological support for Children living with HIV/AIDS
  • Health camps for poor women and children at villages-23 camps
  • Preventing and educating people on HIV/Aids in slums and rural villages
  • Forming LGBT clubs and protects their rights
  • Awareness program on HIV/AIDS for prostitute women & guidelines on ARV Drug usage Income generation for HIV/AIDS affected women
  • At present all schools and colleges gave awareness on HIV/AIDS at Sattenapalli area

Nutrition

  • AWARD is providing nutrition to children who are in NFE centre
  • Nutrition guidelines & Nutrition to pregnant women and infants.

Funding

Donors include:

  • Unite the Union Foundation-UK TZEDEK-UK
  • The Commonwealth Human Ecology Council (CHEC) is acting as our UK representative and that we have been working on developing a project together for the last 18 months.

We have been doing the above activities with our local contributions. We are seeking your help to do good service successfully. We are in need of your support and suggestions. So kindly send us your guidelines and Project Application.
